Start by removing any accessories that you can easily remove, like bows or feathers, while leaving rhinestones intact for now. Soak scalp by submerge hair in warm water (in a bathtub or large bowl) for 15-20 minutes to loosen styling buildup.
2. Shampoo and Scrub
Apply shampoo for the 1st time and work into a light lather. Rinse. Apply a small amount of scalp scrub to damp hair and gently massage it in circular motions on the scalp, as well as the skin around the hair roots on the face and neck. Focus on areas with heavy buildup, then rinse thoroughly. 2nd Shampoo : Lather again, focusing more on any stubborn areas. Rinse. 3rd Shampoo: Use a moisturizing shampoo to restore hydration and gently massage. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Treatment
Apply a generous amount of a repair mask or treatment, cover with a plastic cap, and wrap with a towel. Leave it in for 15-60 minutes.
4. Final Rinse and Comb
Rinse. Divide damp hair into manageable sections and start combing from the ends, working upward to avoid breakage. Hold each section taut and use gentle strokes to gradually remove any tangles. Use gentle, short strokes with the comb, especially near knots. If a knot is stubborn, use your fingers to carefully pull it apart before combing through. After rinsing the treatment out, allow hair to air-dry. Avoid using heat styling to keep hair healthy.
